I've looked at how the fashion industry isn't diverse in many ways, from ethnicity, size, age etc. But for years what the fashion industry truly has been lacking in is an opening for Transgender models. Until recently it was unheard of to see a transgendered model have a successful career. Very recently a model named Nicole Gibson, 32 walked the catwalk in london fashion week ... and yes she is transgendered!
Nicole took part in the Catwalk For Change campaign for Models Of Diversity, a fashion showcase that sought to change the lack of diversity in the fashion industry (Seen previously on my blog)
